NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Tuesday night’s Mega Millions jackpot has jumped to $522 million. It’s the fifth largest jackpot in Mega Millions history and if no one matches all five numbers plus the Mega ball, the jackpot will continue to grow. The prize is so big, some people are going all in. “I want to win!” Bronx resident Brian Cooper told CBS2’s Marc Liverman. “I want all the money, one time.” Cooper thinks he has a chance. “I hope I win cause it would be a lot of money,” he said. Others all over the city say if they win, they’d spread the love. “If I do win, I’ll remember you and everyone around us,” Manhattan resident Richi Perez said. “Make sure myself is right, maybe give some to somebody else,” said Brooklyn resident Rodrick Williams. “I believe in donating something to whoever, some kids, someone.” “I’d help people — a lot of people that helped me,” said Manhattan resident Paula Jordan. “I’d have a hard time not being able to help people out.” But there’s nothing wrong with keeping a couple million for yourself. “I would buy a nice Mercedes and also a mansion,” said Astoria resident Fernando Seriano. The jackpot was last won in Ohio on May 4.

Gov. Cuomo Heads To Puerto Rico As Island Continues To Recover From Hurricane Maria
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Gov. Andrew Cuomo heads to Puerto Rico Monday for the fifth time since Hurricane Maria devastated the island. He’ll be joined by university students, labor leaders and elected officials who will help out with rebuilding projects. Cuomo has blasted the federal response to the hurricane, calling it a “national disgrace.” “While the federal government turns its back on Puerto Rico, New Yorkers have stood with our brothers and sisters in Puerto Rico since day one of this tragedy, and we will continue to stand with them until the job is done,” he said in a statement. “Puerto Rico still faces a long road to recovery, and New York will walk with them every step of the way.” The governor will return to New York Tuesday evening.

What a pleasant way to finish the week! (Credit: CBS2) Skies are going to be bright today with plenty of sunshine to complement the warm temperatures. We started off this morning in the high 60s and jump about 20 degrees by this afternoon. The rain will stay clear today, not arriving until late tomorrow, so take advantage of the sunny weather now. Before this week were were running dry for year. However, after the line of the storms that rolled through the area early in the week, we are now caught up on rain for the year. We will continue to add on to that over the next couple of days. (Credit: CBS2) Humidity will stay low today and the feel like temperature will actually feel close to the real temperature today.
