Baltimore Orioles vs. Toronto Blue Jays Friday, July 20, 2018, 7:07 pm ET TORONTO -150 My numbers have the Blue Jays toppling the Orioles in 65 percent of simulations for their Friday matchup, making Toronto worth the price as a moderate home chalk. The Blue Jays have won four straight when starter Sam Gaviglio pitches on full rest, and are 5-1 in their past six Friday games. The Orioles are 1-10 when Dylan Bundy takes the mound against AL East opponents. The Reds have won four straight starts by Tyler Mahle against losing teams and have won four consecutive series openers. The Pirates are 1-4 in their past five road games. What a pleasant way to finish the week! (Credit: CBS2) Skies are going to be bright today with plenty of sunshine to complement the warm temperatures. We started off this morning in the high 60s and jump about 20 degrees by this afternoon. The rain will stay clear today, not arriving until late tomorrow, so take advantage of the sunny weather now. Before this week were were running dry for year. However, after the line of the storms that rolled through the area early in the week, we are now caught up on rain for the year. We will continue to add on to that over the next couple of days. (Credit: CBS2) Humidity will stay low today and the feel like temperature will actually feel close to the real temperature today. LOS ANGELES (CBSLA/AP) — Monsoonal flow has brought thunderstorms and strong winds to the deserts of Southern California have moved into Los Angeles proper. An urban and small stream flood was advisory for San Bernardino and Riverside counties early Wednesday morning and was canceled around 4:30 a.m. when the threat of flooding ended. That same system moved into Los Angeles County just before lunchtime, bringing rain, thunder and lightning to cities like Glendale, Beverly Hills and the San Fernando Valley. At 12:00pm #SantaMonica beach evacuated due to #lightning the #CBSLA radar picture below shows the radar lit up. Join us 12-1pm #kcal9 @CBSLAsandra I have more #losangeles #thunderstorms in my forecast #LARain #LAHeat pic.twitter.com/9gw88zuQAW — Craig Herrera (@CraigHerreraTV) July 18, 2018 The National Weather Service says a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms will continue into Thursday, not just in the mountains and deserts, but all the way to the coast from Ventura to Orange counties. Lightning strikes prompted city officials in Santa Monica to order the evacuation of ocean and beach areas, and advise people to move indoors on the famed Santa Monica Pier. Further inland, lightning kept water-dropping helicopters grounded in the battle against a small brush fire in the Encino area. Weather Friday and Saturday is expected to be a little drier, followed by warming as high pressure expands into Southern California. (© Copyright 2018 CBS Broadcasting Inc. All Rights Reserved.
