The plaintiffs argued that Johnson & Johnson’s talcum powder products, like baby powder, caused them to develop ovarian cancer. This was the first trial to argue that talc in baby powder contains cancer-causing asbestos. Johnson & Johnson said in a statement it “is deeply disappointed” and “remains confident that its products do not contain asbestos and do not cause ovarian cancer.” CBS News legal analyst Rikki Klieman joins “CBS This Morning” to discuss why this verdict is one of the “most extraordinary” she’s ever seen.
