LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — “Star Wars” fans were treated to a sneak peek of the film Monday as teaser trailers for “The Force Awakens” were released, while tickets for the much-anticipated flick went on sale. Tickets on sale now: https://t.co/PwNxYwmCEe #TheForceAwakens https://t.co/UxAgY5MejQ — Star Wars (@starwars) October 20, 2015 The trailers were released on social media, while the entire two-minute trailer is expected to be played during halftime on “Monday Night Football.” Despite reports that tickets were going to go on sale after the halftime show, sites like Fandango and ArcLight began selling tickets earlier in the day. According to at least one “Star Wars” fans, it took him about 35 minutes to purchase his tickets on Fandango, which he said required him to continual refresh his screen as the site appeared to have crashed. The ArcLight website was also experiencing delays. Meanwhile, Lucasfilm also released the film’s new poster, which raised questions about the obvious exclusion of Luke Skywalker. “The Force Awakens” is the seventh film in the franchise. The film blasts its way to theaters Dec. 18.
