New research says children of working mothers are just as happy later in life as the kids of stay-at-home moms. A new study led by a Harvard University professor found daughters of working moms are more likely to advance in their own careers and when the sons of working moms started their own families, they spent 50 minutes more each week caring for them. CBS News contributor Jodi Kantor joins “CBS This Morning” to discuss how this study confirms what we already intuitively know: kids of working moms will be just fine.

In an exclusive White House interview with CBS Evening News, President Trump attacked the former leadership of America’s intelligence agencies, saying he “can’t have any confidence in the past, taking aim at several individuals who have since left the intelligence community. ” I have no confidence in a guy like [former CIA chief John] Brennan, I think he’s a total lowlife,” the president said.

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA) — Here’s a story…of a lovely listing. The Studio City home known as “The Brady Bunch house” because its exteriors were used on the show is on the market for the first time in nearly 50 years. The two-bedroom, three-bathroom home in the 11200 block of Dilling Street, adjacent to the Los Angeles River, is being offered for nearly $1.9 million, according to agent Ernie Carswell. He says the home is “the second most photographed home in the United States after the White House.” The home was last sold in 1973 for $60,000. Several homes in the area have been demolished recently, so the owners will give preference to bidders who want to keep the home intact, Carswell told the Los Angeles Times. “The Brady Bunch” aired between 1969 and 1974. PICO RIVERA (CBSLA) — A man was shot and killed by deputies early Thursday morning after a car chase and crash in Pico Rivera. The shooting happened at about 2 a.m. at Pico Vista, just south of Washington Boulevard, apparently following a chase and a crash into a utility pole at Schooling Road, less than a mile from where the man was fatally shot. A distraught woman came to the scene and said the man who had been killed was her 22-year-old son, Carmelo Pizarro, and that he had been upset about another recent shooting of a friend. “They killed my son,” Maria Reza said, wailing. She said Pizarro had a young daughter. The chase started as a possible DUI, according to investigators. After the crash into the pole, deputies say they opened fire on him and he took off running. Two more deputies confronted the suspect on Pico Vista, not far from his own home. Investigators say the suspect had a gun, which was recovered, but he did not fire back. No deputies were injured.
