By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer (Credit: CBS2) Good morning folks…brrrrr, it’s a cold one out there! Temps are starting off below the freezing mark for most, with chills in the teens & 20s! The rest of the day is looking nice with more sunshine than recent days, warming up to the low 40s. Gusty northwest winds will make it feel a bit more like winter too; however, we’ll still be a few degrees above normal! Weather repeats itself on Sunday with sunshine & low 40s. (Credit: CBS2) A bitter blast of cold air will arrive Monday and especially Tuesday of the coming week. As of now Tuesday morning looks brutal..how do low temps in the single digits and teens sound? Combined with winds, wind chills may stay in the single digits for most of the day. Our high in NYC might not even reach 32! If that sounds a bit too cold for you, don’t worry – temps warm into the upper 40s to close out the week. Have a great first weekend of 2016, and stay warm!
