One trooper was killed and another injured overnight during a struggle with a suspect near Phoenix. The troopers had responded to a report of someone throwing objects from his vehicle on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10. When they approached the suspect, he began to fight the troopers. The suspect is in custody.
