CBS2 Weather Headlines: Clear Skies Tonight, Bright And Balmy Monday Morning

By Mark McIntyre CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — We have had an incredible stretch of weather the past few days, and Sunday was no exception! Bright skies prevailed with spring-like warmth, and skies will stay clear at night. Expect lows bottoming out in the 40s and low 50s. The work week will start off Monday on another bright and balmy note as temperatures will once again reach the low and mid 70s for many. Tuesday will feature some more clouds later in the day with temps in the upper 60s, but overall another lovely day. Veterans Day appears to be the soggiest of the week with a slow moving frontal system bringing some much needed rain. But until then, enjoy the sunshine! CBS2 Weather Headlines: Clear Skies, Unseasonably Warm, Low To Mid 70s

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer Good Sunday morning everyone! We’re off to a crisp start across the region under clear skies. Expect sunshine to prevail once again with unseasonably warm as temps once again will reach the low/mid 70s. Tomorrow will be another very nice day with mostly sunny skies… but it won’t be quite as warm with temps “only” topping out around 70. Things start to change a bit Tuesday with some more clouds and a slight risk for late-day drizzle… but overall another nice day with temps in the upper 60s! Wednesday looks to be the best bet for rain as a frontal system moves through… until then, enjoy the sunshine! 11/10 CBS2 Saturday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer After a soggy Friday, we had a dry, bright, but blustery Saturday! Expect clear skies through the night along with some breezes continuing. Temps overnight will drop into the 20s & low 30s, with wind chills in the teens in spots…bundle up! CBS2 Tomorrow will be a beautiful-looking Veterans Day, but it will be on the chilly side once again! Temps will reach the low & mid 40s, but thankfully the winds look to be weaker than today. CBS2 Monday will be a day of change as clouds increase throughout the day ahead of our next storm system. Temps will be a few degrees warmer, closer to 50, but it’ll still be a chilly rain developing late Monday night and lasting through much of Tuesday…stay tuned!

7/21 CBS2 Saturday Morning Weather Headlines

Matt DeLucia CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer Well, our sunny stretch is unfortunately coming to an end. We’re starting off dry this morning with some bright skies, but that changes as we get into afternoon. Increasing clouds will lead to some rain after 5pm. Highs will be in the upper 70s, but the humidity will be up from yesterday. (Credit: CBS2) The real soaking takes place overnight. Rain, heavy at times, with some gusty winds 30-40 mph, especially after midnight. (Credit: CBS2) By Sunday morning, there’s still rain out there, but it’ll become more scattered in the afternoon. Its a touch warmer into the low 80s. (Credit: CBS2) While no day is a washout, there’s a chance of at least a few showers/storms each day next week. Have a good one!

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer (Credit: CBS2) Welcome to Monday! We’re starting off the work week with a scorcher…temps this morning already touching 80 and we’ll keep going until the upper 80s & mid 90s in spots! (Credit: CBS2) Coupled with the humidity, some spots will feel like 100 degrees! A Heat Advisory is in effect today & tomorrow due to the high heat & humidity. (Credit: CBS2) A few isolated thundershowers are possible this afternoon, but the real rain threat will be tomorrow as a cold front approaches. While we’ll be a touch cooler, it’ll still be rather hot & very humid before that front. Some storms could produce torrential rain leading to localized flooding…so be extra cautious! (Credit: CBS2) It looks like we dry out for the rest of the week with much lower humidity, so we just have to get through today & tomorrow!

7/15 CBS2 Sunday Morning Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer (Credit: CBS2) Good Sunday morning everybody! It’s gonna be another hot day across the area…but with extra humidity, so we’ll really be feelin’ it! Expect temps once again in the upper 80s and low 90s. Another contrast to yesterday will be the threat of scattered thunderstorms during the day – so outdoor plans may be dampened a bit. (Credit: CBS2) Monday will be a scorcher with temps in the low 90s, feeling even warmer due to that humidity. Temps back off a bit on Tuesday, but with an approaching front and surging moisture comes our best shot at rain over the coming week. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and localized flooding. (Credit: CBS2) The rest of the week looks great…sunny, dry, and with seasonable temps in the mid 80s!

Matt DeLucia CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer Things are heating up once again as we climb into the upper 80s and low 90s this afternoon. While humidity is rising, its not on the oppressive side just yet. Most stay dry through daylight today, with the exception of far N&W where there is a late risk for some t-storms. If you’re headed to the beach, there is a high risk of rip currents along the south shore. CBS2 The better chance arrives for all overnight and into early tomorrow morning. There could be some heavy downpours around sunrise Sunday, but then it appears we’ll have a lull in any action. After some breaks of sun, more scattered pop-ups are likely tomorrow afternoon and evening. Temps once again climb to near 90 with a more humid day on tap. CBS2 It stays on the steamy side until Tuesday when a strong front moves through and knocks the humidity back down behind it. Have a great weekend!

After another crisp and clear night around the region, we’ll enjoy another sunny, dry, and comfortable day with warmer temps in the lower 80s. Overall, a perfect day to enjoy anything outside! (Credit: CBS2) The beautiful weather continues tomorrow with sunshine and even warmer temps, reaching the mid & upper 80s. As of now it looks like the humidity will still be reasonable. (Credit: CBS2) A few pop-up showers and storms are possible far north & west of NYC Tuesday PM & Wednesday PM, but the chance right now is pretty low. Otherwise expect temps near 90 both days with partly sunny skies. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
