Abandoned Infant Found Dead Off 15 Freeway In Corona

CORONA (CBSLA) – Police are investigating the death of an infant whose body was found abandoned off a freeway in Corona Friday afternoon. The infant was discovered just after 2:30 p.m. in the area of Interstate 15 and Cajalco Road, according to Corona police. It’s unclear exactly where the infant was discovered. The Riverside County coroner’s office is conducting an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. The infant’s name, gender and exact age were not immediately confirmed. Police: Man Admits To Stabbing Adoptive Fathers In Sherman Oaks

SHERMAN OAKS (CBSLA) — A man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of stabbing his two fathers at their Sherman Oaks home. The stabbing was reported at about 1 a.m. in the area of Burnett and Moorpark avenues, after an apparent argument at the family’s home. The two men, who are in their 50s to 60s, are in critical condition and undergoing surgery. When police arrived, the suspect – the victims’ 21-year-old adoptive son who was home from college – was inside the house and allegedly admitted to stabbing his fathers to officers. His face bloody, he was taken into custody. A pocket knife was recovered, police said. The suspect, who was not identified, also injured his hand during the stabbing. Investigators are working to determine the motive for the stabbing.

The Firearm Licensing Authority (FLA) has amped up measures to trace the purchase and use of legal ammunition across the country as it seeks to determine the extent of leakage of rounds into the illegal trade.Part of those measures, according to Chief Executive Officer Shane Dalling, is the current analysis of the annual allocation of ammunition to the country’s 23 dealerships.
