One Person Killed In West Adams Rollover Wreck, Driver Flees Scene

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – At least one person was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the West Adams neighborhood early Tuesday morning. Nov. 24, 2020. (CBSLA) The collision occurred at about 4 a.m. in the 4000 block of West Exposition Boulevard. According to Los Angeles police, a Dodge Challenger slammed into a pole and and another car, causing the car to roll over. Police arrived to find one person dead at the scene. The victim was not identified. It’s also unclear if anyone else was hurt. The male driver of the Challenger ran away, police said. He was last seen running south on Buckingham Road. The exact circumstances of the crash and the number of people riding in each vehicle were unconfirmed.

Police Investigate Suspicious Death Of Woman In Brooklyn

Officers conducted a wellness check around 6:45 a.m. Saturday at her apartment building on Lenox Road. Toddler Shot Dead By 4-Year-Old Cousin In Home Near San Bernardino

MUSCOY (CBSLA) – A two-year-old girl was shot and killed by another child Friday in the town of Muscoy, just northwest of San Bernardino. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reports that the shooting occurred in a home in the 2700 block of Duffy Street sometime before 11:30 a.m. Investigators say the 4-year-old boy accidentally shot and killed his two-year-old cousin. The child was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies told CBS2’s Nicole Comstock the boy accidentally fired the weapon. @sbcountysheriff says a 2 year old girl lost her life in a shooting this morning in Muscoy. One Dead In Belt Parkway Wrong Way Crash

QUEENS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – The Belt Parkway has reopened after a deadly wrong way crash in Queens early Thursday morning. Police say a Volkswagen driving east bound in the west bound lanes collided with a Honda Accord at about 2 a.m. near Bay 8th Street. The driver of that Volkswagen is in custody and police say he is expected to be charged with driving under the influence. A rear passenger inside the Honda was declared dead at the scene. The Honda’s driver and front passenger were both taken to an area hospital and are in stable condition. It is still unclear where the wrong way driver entered the Belt Parkway.

1 Killed After Car Flips Over On 405 Freeway Offramp

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — A man was killed and four other people were critically injured in a crash on the Olympic Boulevard offramp from the southbound 405 Freeway in West Los Angeles. The crash happened at about 4 a.m., leaving one car on its roof, on top of a guardrail and wedged against a light pole. A man in his 20s was ejected from his car and declared dead at the scene, while four other people were taken to hospitals in critical condition. Man Stabs 3 Members Of His Own Family In West Hollywood

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA) — A man is in custody Monday after allegedly stabbing three members of his own family, one fatally. The stabbing was reported at 10:30 p.m. Sunday in the 8700 block of Shoreham Drive in West Hollywood, Los Angeles County sheriff’s spokeswoman Deputy Tracy Koerner said. One man was pronounced dead at the scene and two women were taken to hospitals for treatment of their stab wounds. The suspect, who is in custody, was related to the three victims, but a motive for the stabbings has not yet been released.

Motorcycle Rider Fatally Shot On San Bernardino Freeway

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA) — One motorcyclist was shot and killed and a second has been hospitalized Friday after gunfire erupted on the 210 Freeway in San Bernardino, which has been closed until further notice. Officers responding to the eastbound 210 Freeway at the 215 just before 4 a.m. discovered the two riders laying in lanes when they arrived. One man was declared dead at the scene, but the second was shot in the shoulder and was taken to a hospital in critical condition. A woman passenger was not injured. The two riders were apparently standing next to their motorcycles parked off the freeway when the shooting happened. It’s not clear if they had any sort of mechanical failure. It’s not clear what led to the shooting. Police are not sure if it was a passing driver who fired, and there’s no indication that the two men shot each other. CHP says lanes will be closed until further notice.
