NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A van jumped a curb and crashed into a building in Chinatown late Friday afternoon. As Joe Biermann reported from Chopper 2, the water delivery van went out of control and slammed up onto the sidewalk at Broadway and Catherine Lane. The truck crashed into the front door of the Global Bank Building. There were no pedestrians on the sidewalk at the time, and the driver was the only person injured.
